La Gorge Fraîche is a craft beer from Occitania which gives pride of place to this beautiful region in which the products are brewed. Promotion of the local economy, promotion of local restaurateurs, it highlights a product identity centered around the South of France, with in particular a reference to the emblematic Tramontane wind, dry and lively, responsible for a “dry throat effect” !

La Gorge Fraîche is a true concentrate of the south* which brings to your taste buds the strength of its sun, the iodized winds of its Mediterranean, the screech of its cicadas, the scent of its garrigue. It instantly transports you under the shade of the plane trees in the village square. Our country is swept by a harsh wind called Tramontane, which blows violently in the direction of the Gulf of Lion after being engulfed at the gates of the central massif. During the summer drought typical of the Mediterranean climate, Tramontane produces hot, very dry air which generates on the human body an endemic sensation called dry throat, which upsets the southern population from May to October.

A 100% Midi craft beer
In the heart of Languedoc, the brigadiers welcome you to the Béziers bar-boutique, in a rehabilitated post-war sugar refinery. Located on the banks of the Canal du Midi, this building, once a witness to the powerful activities of the Quai Port Neuf, has been renovated in its “juice”, notably with the recovery of materials on site. You will discover our beers served on tap, local products and large educational panels retracing the history of the district, the building, the old Biterroise breweries and our company. Our brigadiers speak fluent English for the German, English, American and Belgian customers who navigate our splendid canal.
A craft beer entirely brewed in Occitania
Our products are made from French cereals and raw materials.
As part of the progressive development of our company, our new ranges (IPA, Imperial Lager and Stout) are entirely brewed on site by our brewers Kevin and Pascal. They are differentiated by a new labeling. Our old ranges are brewed by our brewing partner Christophe Ratz in Fontanes (Lot) in the Occitanie region, in accordance with know-how and brewing traditions: grain malting, crushing, brewing, fermentation, maturation, filtration, packaging.
Gradual development towards an artisanal brewery in Hérault
Our objective is indeed to brew everything on site in the medium term in Hérault by investing in our own production facilities. We have just acquired a small tool to develop recipes and launch a first production on site. We are also in the process of raising the funds to acquire the right tool for our objectives.
The beers are sold directly at the bar-boutique, or through our network of gastronomic establishments, restaurants, brasseries, bars, cafes, wine merchants and shops, which extends across the Occitanie region.

The Fresh Throat offers a versatile action, and acts effectively in an outdoor environment where the consumer is particularly exposed to a dry throat: on the terrace during an aperitif, by the sea under the parasols of the huts, near the sausages which grill on the branch fire.

La Gorge Fraiche Supports the association replanting the Canal du Midi
When we speak of the Midi, we immediately think of the Canal du Midi, the largest construction site of the 17th century, a huge tourist destination crossing all of the South of France, from Toulouse to Sète, and belonging to the UNESCO World Heritage. La Gorge Fraîche has joined forces with the Voies Navigables de France patron club to support the plan to replant plane trees on both shores.

The Fresh Gorge has its source in the land of wine, fifteen years ago, at the Lycée de la Trinité in Béziers, where the three accomplices went to school. At the crossroads of passion for beer and love for the South of France. The Fresh Throat is a local product. It is carried by the values of its creators.
